A French-American curated marketplace for digital art

Curioos is a curated marketplace for digital art, founded by Mathieu Valoatto in 2012, following the success met the year before by his Tumblr (260k followers!) presenting a selection of digital artists.

The site has a catalogue of more than 3,000 exclusive or limited edition works by 2,000 artists (illustrators, designers, improved photography experts, 3D artists, typographers…) from 90 countries.

New York- and Paris-based Curioos teams meet artists in person prior to selecting them.

Each artwork is prepared by hand, digitally signed by the artist, embossed with Curioos’s seal, numbered and sent with a certificate of authenticity.

Prices start at EUR 25. The works – which are not scanned paintings or drawings – are original, produced in very limited editions, with top-quality prints upon request.

This French-American startup company already achieved two successful fundraising campaigns, with the latest raising EUR 1.5m late 2014, after a first, successful fundraising of EUR 31.5m in 2014. These funds are aimed at marketing the site, and improve its technical platform.

Curioos was approved by Amazon Art, who included their artworks in their own catalogue.
